Paul Furlong has joined Kettering Town as player-coach.The experienced striker will make his debut for the Poppies in tonight's pre-season friendly against Milton Keynes Dons.
Furlong is still going strong at the age of 41 and featured in over 40 games for Barnet in League Two last season.
He fits the bill as the target man that Lee Harper had been looking for and he will also be involved in coaching the rest of the Poppies squad.
Furlong has enjoyed a glittering career, which saw Chelsea pay Watford £2.3m for his services in 1994.
He later joined Birmingham City for £1.5m and has played for the likes of Queens Park Rangers, Luton Town and Southend United since.
