After last years 18 goal bonanza, Kettering Town FC and DRC Locums will once again battle it out on the pitch to raise funds for a new children’s sensory unit at Kettering General Hospital.
The event is open to everyone and fundraisers are hoping for lots of spectators to come along and enjoy a great day out and raise money for this important cause.
There will be healthy competition on the pitch as players from Kettering Town FC line up against DRC Locums XI in the final home game before the season kicks off in August.
Kick off is 2pm, Sunday 1st August at Rockingham Road, Kettering. Admission is free and all donations will be welcomed on the day.
The new sensory unit at Kettering General Hospital will provide a safe area aimed at helping to benefit and improve the lives of babies and children with special needs. It will offer a secure and stimulating environment for babies recovering from invasive procedures, as well as promoting development and emotional well being for children in the hospital.
Christina Barnsley, Fundraising Officer at Kettering General Hospital Charity Fund: “it’s fantastic news that DRC Locums and Kettering Town Football Club have again chosen to support Kettering General Hospital for the second year running. We hope people will turn up with family and friends to see a good game of football for a really worthy cause.”
Imraan Ladak: “It will be nice to see Kettering Town entertain everyone with lots of goals, even if it is at the expense of DRC.
“This event demonstrates DRC Locums and Kettering Town FC’s ongoing commitment to charity fundraising and I hope that we will get a good crowd on the day willing to support the work of Kettering General Hospital Charity Fund. The event is free for everyone but we know that fans will give generously for a local cause.”
DRC Locums is one of the largest suppliers of locum doctors in the UK and has been a sponsor of the club for the last five seasons. The club will launch it’s newly designed DRC Locums away shirt in August.
