Damian Spencer has been released from his contract today at Kettering and has signed a one year contract with Aldershot Town. The towering no-nonsense centre-forward arrived with high hopes last term from Cheltenham Town. He scored his first goal for the Poppies in the 2-1 away win at Wrexham. Spencer was loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers and Aldershot Town after racking up 2 goals and a red card in his 21 appearances in a Kettering shirt. He impressed during his time at Aldershot as boss Kevin Dillon said, "Damian is a player that is more appreciated by his team mates and they like playing with him. I looked at the games last season and he got into some good positions and should have scored some goals. However the fact that he can get into those positions was a major reason why we signed him.”
Kettering Town Football Club would like to wish Damian all the best back in the Football League.
